Farnley Fest Fundraising
Farnley Fest, the weekend of family fun that took place in Farnley Tyas village over the Tour de France event, raised a fantastic £1,000 for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.
The three-day beer festival at The Golden Cock pub culminated in a charity auction that raised £350 for the charity.
On Saturday 5 July, a scarecrow trail around the village - involving more than 40 scarecrows - raised more than £500 in trail map sales alone.
Farnley Tyas Community Group donated a further £130 to reach the £1,000 target.
"It was a great event for all involved, and a great day out for all the family. To raise £1,000 for such a worthwhile cause was the icing on the cake," says Jeanette Dyson, Communications Manager Farnley Estates Limited.
