Kirklees Young Archaeologists’ Club

The Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is a national organisation for young people aged 8-16 years who want to learn more about the past through archaeology.

Kirklees Young Archaeologists’ Club currently has 18 members. The YAC has attended digs on Estate land, and has used Farnley Estates to practise ‘field walking’.

More recently, the YAC took part in a dig at a WW2 site, where a Wellington Bomber crashed in 1943.

Kirklees YAC meeting times

The YAC meets monthly on a Saturday.
