Heroes Welcome...IN FARNLEY
At Farnley Estates we've partnered with the Golden Cock public house and Farnley Tyas Community Group (FTCG) to offer our support and a warm welcome for British Armed Forces Personnel.
We've joined a growing number of towns, cities, counties and organisations that extend their appreciation to serving members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
Benefits for our heroes
To show our support, serving members of the British Armed Forces are invited to take part in our off-road horse ride events, free of charge*. We'll also offer a 10% discount on the rides to family members of serving British Armed Forces Personnel**.
You can read more about the initiative by visiting the Heroes Welcome website.
Show your support for Heroes Welcome in Farnley by downloading and displaying the Heroes Welcome in Farnley Poster.
If you're considering leaving the Armed Forces and are concerned about the transition back into civillian life, help is available. The Kirklees Council's Leaving the Forces website page has a useful section with information and links to other support services.
*Farnley Estates off-road horse rides take place on the last Saturday of the month April to September inclusive. Serving members of the British Armed Forces can take part in the ride free of charge, on presentation of official photo ID confirming their status as a serving member of the British Armed Forces. Members of the British Armed Forces must comply with the terms and conditions, and safety procedures before taking part in the event. They must also register on the day, read and sign the ride disclaimer. Riders must have their own horse, safety equipment and relevant public liability. Rides may be cancelled at short notice for safety reasons, due to adverse weather conditions. Please visit the website to check in advance.
**Family members of serving British Armed Forces Personnel are deemed to be immediate family only, i.e. spouse, child, parent or sibling. Photographic proof of the relationship to a serving Armed Forces Member is required. Official photo ID is also required that the relative in question is a serving member of the British Armed Forces. As above, all usual ride terms and conditions, and safety procedures apply. Farnley Estates reserves the right to refuse admission to the off-road horse rides.
