Filming locations - opportunities within Farnley Estates
Whether you’re searching for a rural setting for your next sit-com, a deserted wood for a forthcoming thriller, or a picturesque village community for a contemporary drama, Farnley Estates can offer a range of locations.
Over the past couple of years several contemporary television productions have taken place in the surrounding area.
Farnley Estates has a rich heritage. Some of the field configurations within Farnley Estates date back to the reign of George III, and we have ancient woodlands, which (theoretically at least) Henry VIII may have wandered through, hand-in-hand with Anne Boleyn!
Today, there are still locations within Farnley Estates that have no evidence of 21st Century life. As a result it was chosen as the setting for the opening scenes of the BBC’s 2014 production of Jamaica Inn.
